Two Engines, One Guild
Meridian Guild is built on a dual structure:
- The Meridian side is our consulting and project delivery arm. It secures contracts, manages compliance, and delivers results for clients.
- The Guild side is our professional community. It connects current and former USAID, USG, and partner professionals who want to contribute expertise, grow their networks, and participate in meaningful work — whether or not they are actively on a Meridian project.
Together, this system creates opportunities for professionals to contribute at different levels, from occasional advisory roles to long-term leadership positions.
Origination & Equity Pathways
We recognize that building business is a core leadership function — and we reward it.
Origination Incentives: If you establish and secure a client relationship that leads to real work, you share directly in the rewards. Origination credit remains tied to the client as long as the business continues, even if others deliver the work. This ensures credit goes to those who create enduring value — not to one-off introductions.
Equity for Senior Members: Professionals who consistently contribute to origination and delivery may be invited to become Senior Members. Senior Members participate in profit-sharing and may hold equity stakes, reflecting their sustained leadership role in the Guild.
At Meridian Guild, origination, delivery, and leadership are all recognized — and rewarded — as core drivers of our success.
Why Join?
If you are a current or former USAID/USG professional or have worked with implementing partners or partner governments — you know the value of trust, networks, and on-the-ground expertise. The Meridian Guild was built to preserve that expertise and channel it into new opportunities.
By joining Guild, you can:
- Stay connected with peers who understand your experience.
- Take on assignments that fit your availability from short-term surge support to long-term advisory roles.
- Propose initiatives, form teams, and incubate ventures with Guild support.
- Contribute through advisory or volunteer Spheres — keeping a foot in the development world as a thought leader, mentor, or collaborator, even if you are not seeking active project work.
- Share in origination rewards and, for those who want it, pursue a clear path to Senior Membership and equity participation.
Intake
We are currently onboarding professionals through our Intake Form.
Become a Guild Guide
Guild Guides are volunteer Members who help welcome new colleagues, answer questions, and share tips on navigating the community. Whether it’s explaining Spheres, offering introductions, or providing encouragement, Guides play a key role in building the culture of the Guild.
To serve as a Guide, you must already be a registered Member of the Guild. If you’d like to contribute a few hours each week, sign up here to volunteer as a Guild Guide.
Propose a Sphere
Project Spheres are Member-led initiatives that bring the Guild to life. They can be:
- Startup Projects – Ventures proposed and led by Members, often forming new companies, NGOs, or co-ops.
- Volunteer Projects – Community initiatives focused on knowledge sharing, mentorship, capacity building, or advocacy.
- Knowledge Projects – Deep dives into a topic of global relevance, which may evolve into formal proposals or advisory bodies.
Please use this form to propose a Project Sphere. Submissions will be reviewed by the Guild team, and we’ll follow up with you about next steps.
